Meet Peter Thomson, Filmmaker of the Driftless Region
Peter Thomson is a proud Filmmaker of the Driftless Region, studying Film Production at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee!
Growing up in La Crosse, WI, Peter founded the Central High School Film Club and partnered with the La Crosse Film Academy, fostering creativity and enabling filmmakers across our region.
Peter has screened projects at the Milwaukee International Short Film Festival, Create Wisconsin Day (Madison, WI), La Crosse 48hr Film Festival, and premiered his debut environmental short, 'Jed Olson: A Portrait Documentary,' at the La Crosse Adventure Film Festival.
Director’s Statement
I was born and raised in the Driftless, hiking, biking, skiing, and paddling our local trails and waters. Among the bluffs, and within our river valley, I have had the privilege to enjoy the trails Jed Olson has championed, that have brought me closer to the nature which has inspired my passions, values, and art.
Through this film, I further the ripple of passion that Jed has passed on to me to a community of adventurers who will live out its moral through their stories.
